HARRISBURG – State Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) and Rep. Mike Jones (R-York Township) are partnering to host a free spring document shredding event for residents of the 169th and 93rd Legislative Districts on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Shrewsbury Township building, located at 12341 Susquehanna Trail South in Glen Rock.
“I am happy to once again provide an opportunity for my constituents to safely dispose of documents containing their personal information, like their Social Security number, credit card information and more,” said Klunk. “Sadly, scammers exploit the information found on personal documents. By shredding unneeded paperwork, we can better protect ourselves from becoming victims of scams and identity theft. I am looking forward to seeing many friends and neighbors utilize this free service.”
“This timely shredding event will provide residents the perfect opportunity to do some spring cleaning,” said Rep. Mike Jones (R-York Township). “By safely disposing of paperwork containing sensitive or personal information, residents can rest assured their privacy and account information will be protected.”
The event is limited to residential customers only (no businesses). Please remove any paper or binder clips prior to the event, staples are permitted.
For questions about this event, please call Klunk’s office at 717-630-8942.
