HARRISBURG – State Reps. Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion) and Mike Jones (R-York Township) will be co-hosting a REAL ID informational event on Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the Red Lion Junior High Cafeteria, 200 Country Club Road, Red Lion.

Residents who wish to learn more about the REAL ID program or who have questions regarding the program are encouraged to attend. The event will include an informational presentation by representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

“The REAL ID program is complex and the details are sometimes confusing,” said Saylor. “This event will be a great opportunity for residents who are interested in a REAL ID to get more information about the program, what it is useful for, weigh their options and decide if a REAL ID is right for them.”

“Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, PA residents will need a REAL ID or another Department of Homeland Security-approved identification to board domestic commercial flights, enter military bases and federal facilities,” Jones added. “This meeting will provide information on the options you have with regard to obtaining a REAL ID.”

Please be aware that there will be no REAL IDs issued at this event, nor will any documents be pre-verified. This is an informational session only and there is no need to register or RSVP.
